Vendor FAQ's

Prospective vendors can be considered for opportunities anytime throughout the year. Our Inclusive Procurement Committee reviews supplier and service provider inquiries regularly and submits to respective department heads for consideration.

The timeline of becoming a vendor with Detroit Windsor Tunnel will vary by type of service or product provided and the cost of service or product provided. For instance, the timeline for becoming a vendor through an RFP or RFI process varies depending on the project, typically ranging from 30 to 45 days. For all other prospective vendors, the timeline for becoming a vendor could be approximately one week.

Vendors are vetted internally but are not limited to additional review, such as background checks, or with external resources like state and federal departments.

Vendors are paid via ACH or wire. This means vendors are paid within 30 days from the date our accounting department receives the invoice.

This depends on the project. However, any vendor that provides services on the DWT property, must have proper documents such as an enhanced ID, passport, or NEXUS card.
